Arezzo (Italy), 30th March 2010

“While we proceed in the work to encourage the peace process in the Caucasian region our path is threatened by those who still believe in violence as a tool for conflict resolution” - commented Franco Vaccari, president of the Association Rondine Cittadella della Pace, following the news regarding the Moscow terrorist attack.
“I express the sympathy of all Rondine’s world for the victims and their families, together with the Russian population and government, after yesterday morning’s tragic bombing, and I renew our availability to offer all of our energies in favor of the peace-building process” - concluded Mr.Vaccari.

The Association Rondine has been committed, since 1997, to the promotion of dialogue and peace through the experience of an International Hall of Residence in a small Tuscan village where young students coming from countries in conflict, and among them many Caucasian students,  share their daily lives. The Association is currently committed to the promotion of “Rondine’s document in 14 points for peace in the Caucasus” which has already been positively accepted by many political and religious authorities in Italy and abroad.
