Through practices of human regeneration and urban regeneration, Rondine has also undertaken a path of growth and transformation towards the Citadel of the Third Millennium – a place that aims to be an example and dissemination of models of sustainability and integral development of the human being. The key factor will be man in relation to the environment. Men and women will be at the same time beneficiaries of the actions of the Citadel and responsible for the care and implementation of the mission inside and outside the Citadel. What they will experience can be adapted, replicated and spread in the communities to which they belong and in the world.
HUMAN REGENERATION
The Citadel of the Third Millennium takes care of and promotes the concept of an educating community understood as “the entire community, family, school, institutions, civil society and the environment itself” that educates its young people to be active citizens, but that also allows itself to be educated and changed by them.
ECO-SUSTAINABLE URBAN REGENERATION
One of the goals is to transform Rondine into an eco-sustainable village. It is planned to create an integrated and balanced system of production from renewable sources capable of covering the village’s energy consumption with the not secondary aim of making the use of renewable sources visible and perceptible, also from an educational point of view.
