Franco Vaccari
Born in Arezzo in 1952, Franco Vaccari is the founder and President of Rondine Cittadella della Pace. He graduated in Psychology from the “La Sapienza” University in Rome and is now professor of “Peace and conflict psychology” at the Pontifical Lateran University.
Besides working as a freelance psychologist, Vaccari is also the founder and director of the “Nuovo Laboratorio di Psicologia” (New Psychology Lab), a centre of research and action in Educational Psychology.
Franco Vaccari always played a leading role as a trainer in the world of associations, especially of Catholic origin, and in the ecumenical and interreligious dialogue.
This activity culminated with the experience at Rondine, which he founded. He served as President of the Commission for Ecumenism and Interfaith Dialogue of the Diocese of Arezzo-Cortona-Sansepolcro until 2005. In 2006 he became an advisor for the Government’s Department for Family Policies with mandate for Childhood and Youth issues. Among various awards, he received the Minerva Prize from Campidoglio in Rome and the Dossetti Prize. Author of numerous articles in newspapers and magazines, he published “Portici. Politica vecchia, nuova passione” (Editrice Ave, 2007); “S-confinamenti” (Pazzini Editore, 2018); “stoRYcycle” (Pazzini Editore, 2018); Metodo Rondine (Pazzini Editore, 2018).
