Franco Vaccari

Franco Vaccari, born in Arezzo in 1952, is the founder and president of Rondine Cittadella della Pace.

A graduate in Psychology from the University of Sapienza in Rome, he also works as a freelance psychologist. As a Professor of Psychology, he is the founder and director of the “Nuovo Laboratorio di Psicologia” (New Psychology Lab), a research and action center in the psycho-pedagogical field.

Franco Vaccari has always had a leading role as an educator in the world of non-profit associations, especially in Catholic organizations, and in ecumenical and inter-religious dialogue. All of this experience culminates at Rondine, which he founded.

He was the president of the Commission for the ecumenism and the inter-religious dialogue of the Diocese of Arezzo-Cortona-Sansepolcro until 2005. In 2006, he became an advisor for the Italian Ministry for Family Policies, acting as a delegate for childhood and adolescent issues.

Among the various awards he has received are the Minerva Prize in Campidoglio (Rome) and the Dossetti Prize.
