Until December 1st, 2021, it will be possible to enroll in the new edition of Master in Conflict Management and Humanitarian Action, the academic program that develops the skills to operate in the humanitarian sector and includes a specific training module on the Rondine Method.

The Master is the result of the collaboration between the Department of Social, Political and Cognitive Sciences of the University of Siena and the Association of Rondine Cittadella della Pace. With the participation of some exponents of the international medical humanitarian organization Médecins Sans Frontières, this one-year master’s program discusses global challenges faced by the humanitarian sector and provides a wide range of knowledge including humanitarian response practices and policies. The program of study offers highly specialized skills, both theoretically and practically, in conflict management and humanitarian actions into an intercultural context.

Through a series of modules and ad-hoc seminars, students are provided with critical analyses of practices and policies of humanitarian responses, especially in prominent sectors such as: global health, migration, management in humanitarian interventions; advocacy and communication; humanitarian negotiation, conflict resolution practices, scientific and cultural diplomacy in an intercultural context.

This edition includes a new training module on the Rondine Method. This innovative method come from the proven experience of Rondine Cittadella della Pace Association which hosts every year young “enemies” from countries in conflict and/or post-conflict. The module is articulated to allow understanding the theoretical and methodological approaches and the necessary tools to know how to generate “relational habitats”. The aim is the deconstruction of the image of the enemy at any level, the ability to deal with the conflict and become an active part of processes of civil and social impact.

The one-year Master’s program will start in January 10, 2022. It will be possible to apply until December 1st, 2021.
